Vision: The Kennedy Media Center is the heart of our learning community — a welcoming, inclusive space that inspires curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning. We envision a library where every student has equitable access to resources, technology, and ideas; where reading is celebrated; and where learners grow as critical thinkers, ethical digital citizens, and independent seekers of knowledge. Through collaboration, innovation, and community engagement, the library empowers all Otters to explore, create, and thrive in an ever-changing world.

Mission: The mission of the Kennedy Media Center is to empower all students to think critically, read deeply, and use information responsibly. We collaborate with students and teachers to support curriculum goals, foster a love of reading, and provide equitable access to resources that inspire inquiry, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Objectives: 

1. Promote Literacy and Reading

• Offer a diverse collection of books and digital resources.

• Encourage independent and recreational reading through programs, challenges, and displays.

• Teach students to find, evaluate, and use information responsibly.

• Support digital citizenship and media literacy skills.
  
  

3. Support Learning and Collaboration

• Partner with teachers to integrate library resources into lessons.

• Provide tools, technology, and makerspaces for hands-on learning.
